Tradeshow season is well underway, and after the success of Bett and ISE, next stop for Awe Creative is BVE. Taking place at London’s ExCeL from 27 February to 1 March, the show brings together the media and entertainment industry in what is always a great networking opportunity.
The seminar programme at this year’s event looks particularly strong, with 120 hours of free-to-attend, CPR-accredited sessions. Speaker highlights include VR film director Jannicke Mikkelsen discussing how she overcame the challenges of the format to create VR The Champions, and David Mowrey of IABM Watson Media exploring the impact AI and machine learning will have on productivity and business growth.
Hot topics including IP and esports will also be on the agenda. ‘Ready to launch: esports goes mainstream’ will be held in The Business of Production theatre at 12.20 on 27 February, while ‘IP production: enabling the new broadcast system’ takes place in the Techflow Futures theatre at 12.30 on the same day. Another highlight looks set to be the Immersive audio workshop at 13.15 the following day, which will explore the gear available for capturing three-dimensional special sound.
On the subject of immersion, visitors should also make time to stop by the Future Reality Zone. New for 2018, it is dedicated to innovation and creativity with the support of key hardware manufacturers, software developers, innovative brands, experiential creative agencies and tech start-ups. Discover the latest equipment in the fields of VR, AR, MR and AI, pitch your own game-changing ideas and watch demos of the latest technology.
Following a successful seminar programme at BVE 2017, Connected Media Europe is returning as an exhibition and conference at BVE 2018 to demonstrate and discuss IP-focused and connected technology, including IPTV, OTT, mobile, social, and cloud. In addition, Streaming Forum, a one-day conference co-located within BVE designed to help attendees stay on the cutting edge of the latest OTT technologies, will also run alongside BVE 2018.
Awe Creative will be there for the duration of the show. If you’d like to meet up at the event or require any content, marketing or design services in the run up, contact jo@beaconcreativeservices.com.
