As today is the first day of BVE, we’ve done the legwork and condensed some of the best articles highlighting what’s new at this year’s show into a handy guide of the tech to see, seminars to stop by and show floor zones to visit.
First up, if collaboration is your focus, read this piece by AV Magazine which looks at the blurring of boundaries between broadcast and AV, and highlights what the AV industry can learn from the creative industries and vice versa.
The AV angle is strengthened by the involvement of the AV User Group, which this year is taking a stand in the new AV, Integration and Live Zone, presenting and speaking on panels and hosting its quarterly meeting on site.
If it’s new tech you’re after, Audio Media International talks us through the Harman products that will be making their UK debuts, including the Studer Micro-broadcast mixer and the 705P and 708P monitors from JBL, as well as the new Halo Upmix update from Nugen. HHB, meanwhile, will have its largest ever presence at BVE, showcasing brands including Avid, Genelec and iZotope.
The Telos Alliance will also have a significant presence at the London show, with audio equipment and solutions from Linear Acoustic, Minnetonka Audio and Telos Alliance Audio over IP (AoIP) partners Axia, Omnia Audio and Telos Systems. BVE 2017 will be the first joint outing with long-time UK partner, Broadcast Bionics.
Away from audio, and AC Entertainment Technologies is showcasing its range of LED solutions for image capture, including the Space Force from Chroma-Q and the Visionsmith Re-Lamp, while lens specialist Zeiss will focus on its new Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 on the Sony FS7. The VIO 4K will take centre stage on the Analog Way stand, while asset management is the focus for Imagen, which will debut the newest version of its Imagen Enterprise Video Platform.
Back to the seminar programme and BVE has gone all out for this year’s event with numerous well-known speakers, including Louis Theroux and Dexter Fletcher. Broadcast magazine rounds up their pick of the best sessions here, while the full seminar programme is available on the BVE site.
Awe Creative will be attending BVE, which runs until 2 March at ExCeL London. To arrange a meeting with the team contact jo@beaconcreativeservices.com.
