Awe Creative client CDEC has been shortlisted for two InstallAwards by Installation magazine.
The company is up for Corporate/Industrial Project of the year for its work on UCAS headquarters, and for the Display Star Product award for its use of Sony VPL-FHZ55/57 projectors at Goldsmiths University.
CDEC was chosen to upgrade 8 meeting rooms at UCAS’s Cheltenham, UK, head office. They opted for Barco ClickShare, Evoko meeting room management units and SMART Kapp iQs to achieve the organisation’s goals of being able to present and collaborate on ideas quickly and effectively from multiple locations.
As the world’s first 3LCD laser projector, Sony’s FHZ-55/57 was deemed ideal for use in Goldsmiths University as it fulfilled the brief given to CDEC to create a futureproofed learning environment offering the best technology available to aid students’ learning. The Sony laser projection solution was adopted campus wide within Goldsmith’s standard teaching rooms and large performance spaces. In all, 47 rooms were equipped with the Sony FHZ-55/57 which are a high brightness 4,100 lumens WUXGA laser light source projector.
Toni Barnett, managing director at CDEC, said: “The InstallAwards are always a great night and we’re thrilled to be part of it once again this year. Both the UCAS HQ and the Goldsmith University projects showcase how great technology can transform environments, improving learning and business outcomes.”
This announcement comes hot on the heels of CDEC winning Education Project of the Year at the AV News Awards at ISE 2017.
