Beacon Creative has been part of the ISE Daily and IBC Daily teams since 2017; we have also worked on RISE, the official magazine of ISE, since 2018. 2020 saw the added challenge of creating a Daily for IBC’s first ever virtual event.
Our role on these publications has included writing and subbing copy, managing workflow, cutting copy to fit in InDesign and final approval of pages. Both the ISE Daily and IBC Daily are huge newspapers with large teams and significant amounts of information that needs collating, editing and preparing for print. This was done to tight deadlines but each publication was completed on time and they were well received by attendees of each show.
As executive managing editor of the IBC Daily, Jo Ruddock was also responsible for production of the edaily newsletters – a series of 24 editorial-led newsletters sent out in the run up to IBC and produced live on the show floor in Amsterdam. The role of Awe Creative here was to source, write and edit news from both the event organiser and exhibitors, upload to a website and create a newsletter in Adestra. Again we managed workflow to ensure each send was produced to a high standard in a timely manner.
