When we began working with VDC Trading, the main aim was to increase coverage in the audio and pro-AV media and extend that into more niche vertical markets. Although the company has worked on some amazing projects covering live events, studios, sporting events and installations, as well as having a high-quality product portfolio, they often struggled to gain the desired coverage.
We assigned VDC a dedicated team member who has many years of experience within the AV and pro-audio press to ensure any content released was targeted to specific titles and told an engaging story aimed at the correct readership. We also put a system in place to ensure excellent communication between the two companies. This included regular visits to VDC in order to get to know the company, the individual team members and plans for both the short and long term, enabling a detailed editorial action plan to be established and followed.
We also set about developing relationships with writers and editors in the niche markets identified by VDC.
This rounded approach led to a significant increase in the number of case studies and news stories being created and Awe’s industry contacts and targeted approach also meant the stories received the coverage that would be expected.
Since VDC and Awe started working together, VDC has been covered in major industry titles including PSNEurope, AV Magazine, Installation and LSI. We have also come up with ideas for content aside from case studies and we’ve developed the VDC profile in new markets.
In addition, case studies and news pieces have been produced specifically for the VDC website to boost traffic and ensure a regular and consistent supply of information to customers and potential customers.
